Shogun, the amber dragon deck is boss.
Just ask how badly I beat Doctor Mario the other day with them. He was testing a deck, but still.
And Yuchika, thank you! Finally, someone can say DOTE is good.
But you screwed up on something, DOTE is 11k no matter what, even without overlord in the soul. He's just 13k with him in the soul, so no matter what, you're a guaranteed 11k.
And.. I find goku to be less relevant now, seeing as it only retires boosters, and it's main combo is with executioner and bahr, which reaches 20k, but will all the 11k VG's out there, it only forces 10k guards as opposed to 15k guards.
Goku is still good, but not the best.
Lawkeeper is what Kagero is best at right now, and Lawkeeper gets better in set 4.
And Saty, to answer your question, I play Lawkeeper Kagero. Main reason is because I can reach 21k attacking, either forcing a Null guard late game, or a 15k guard late game, without me getting triggers. And Lawkeeper binds the units, getting rid of any interceptors.
With Goku, you just retire the boosters, sure, it makes it easier to guard against the opponent because of the decrease in boosters, but playing Goku may mean in increased number of grade 3's, which could lead to bad hands, and the ability to be unable to guard late game.

Uhh.. Yuchika, that's 4.
But, you're wrong in listing the "Best" Kagero decks.
#1 Is DOTE, the ability to stand and do a second twin drive makes it one of the most broken cards in the game.
#2 is a 3 way tie between Lawkeeper, Amber Dragons, and Goku. Lawkeeper hold Kageros ONLY Limit Break, and it's great. Binding units to gain power and win games. Amber Dragons have an amazing ride chain, immediately searching the grade 2 out the second you ride the grade 1. Inevitably never leaving you grade stuck. Plus Eclipses skill that retires 2 rear-guards when the attack hits if you counter-blast 2; Game Breaking. Goku provides control over the boosters, which are a vital part of any deck. Retiring boosters makes your opponent lay down more of their hand to deal more damage, while you gain control.
#3, is where you neglected decks. You talked about Mainstream Kagero decks, and left out other builds.
So, #3 goes to the Blazing Flare Build. Blazing Flare not only has a superior ride that is easy to pull off, but gains power from retiring. Combined with Kimnaras, Blazing Flare will almost always be attacking for 20k. With it's own soulblast, retiring any rear-guard, it gets rid of interceptors, and makes it easier to push for game. Not to mention Kimnara will always target a booster, meaning your opponent has less attacking power. Tied with this build, is the other Superior Ride. The Aleph Series. This superior ride is just as easy to pull off, and is slightly better. With the VG as the G3 Aleph, you can unflip your damage, and then use it's skill, gaining 1 Crit, and 3k power. Or, the more serious play, is to have 2 Alephs, one on VG, one on RC, and then use the RC one's skill, CB 4, and get the power and crit. Then the VG skill, Unflip all the damage, and with the VG, CB 4, and again, gain crit and power. Combined with stand triggers, your opponent will be in a for a tough turn, attacking with 2 units that are 20-21k and 2 crit without triggers. When you pull a stand, then you attack again for 2 crit. This can game the opposing person.
#4 Goes to a lesser used build. The Mega-Blast build. Which involves Vortex Dragon. With Vortex, you just mega-blast, and immediately retire 3 units on your opponents field. Gaining 2k from the soul charge puts you at 20k when boosted by 8k. However, this build is never seen due to the increasing number of 11k vanguards, making it obsolete. Not to mention the fact that it's a mega-blast, which are incredibly hard to pull off.
That being said, THOSE are the decks for Kagero, in orded of usefulness.
Next time you wanna list Kagero decks in the playability order, ask a guy who's played every single one of these builds, and knows them in and out.

Did you guys like, get less smart from when I last saw you?
You guys said "all you need to do is stop the first attack".
When, in reality, you need to stop mostly all the attacks from DOTE, in fear of the Persona-Blast.
I even gave a very in-depth breakdown of how Kagero decks work. And you still say that?

Tbh guys Agent's right, you can't expect to stop every single attack specially from a vanguard. Plus, if your opponent successfully made the crossride and has a good booster (like bahr or the soul-blasting aermo), you'll need to guard with a lot in most cases, which will end up with your resources sooner or later.
So stopping DOTE attacks is more difficult in a cardfight than what it sounds like.
